SFERE - SCIENTIFIC FORENSIC EXAMINATION RESEARCH ENGINE .
The SFERE application is a forensic case management application designed specifically around ‘mobility’, i.e. laptops, smartphones and tablets; and more specifically, to address the complex law enforcement and security challenges agencies face today, particularly as the nature, severity and variety of threats continually change and increase.
Today, more than ever, with issues like cross-border and multi-jurisdictional crime, it essential for agencies to share and access multiple sources of information, such as intelligence and scientific and digital evidence. Unfortunately, information and data resides on multiple systems, and the problem is compounded further by frequent interoperability and backward compatibility issues found with the applications and data.
SFERE can integrate all existing data within the database environment, and at the frontend delivers an application divided in to four distinct modules.
Each module offers users flexibility with dynamic forms, different levels of access control, a broader case understanding through interactive features, automated functions, risk management (e.g. tracking of progress and monitoring of deadlines) and ultimately assisting in determining how meaningful outcomes can be achieved.
GioSec has focused on mobilising the human and technology resources efficiently and effectively and enabling individuals rather than restricting them. The application formalises process with a simple front-end application which belies the true complexity of the task, i.e. the fast, secure mobile viewing (to a range of devices) of data, uploading and editing of documents, dynamic form generation and the integration with enterprise-wide applications, databases and portals.
